The zipper is covered to protect it from water, abrasion, and dirt. The vertical webbing on the front keeps the compression straps of your backpack neatly in place over the pouch. This also enables the straps to compress the pouch properly. They can also be used as attachment points for bungee cords, carabiners, and stuff like that.

A 25 mm webbing loop and a D-ring on top of the rear interior wall allow you to secure small and important stuff. The flat rear compartment offers rudimentary organization for smaller stuff. A grommet at the bottom removes any water that may seep into the pouch.

Use

With a capacity of twelve liters, this is a very large side pouch; the PALS attachment is five channels wide. Best used on large and tall backpacks of 70-100+ liters.
