Unlike the kidney-shaped kits that everybody has, this is round like the lovely full moon over the Carpathians. We have had the original aluminum ones, but these are modern stainless steel versions. If you’re not a friend of aluminum, you’ll fall in love with Edelstahl.

This is the modernized version of the Czechoslovakian aluminum thingy. And by modernizing we mean that the material has been switched to stainless steel, which is fantastic for cooking vessels. It consists of three parts: the lid that works as a frying pan/plate, a larger kettle, and a smaller kettle. Both kettles have a folding handle.

Cooking with this thing is very simple. Put the food in one of the pots, set it on a camp stove or open fire, close the lid, and wait. The kettles are easy to move with the handles as long as you remember that metal can become hot. The lid can be used as a frying pan, but it is somewhat tricky to move around because it doesn’t have a lid. It does work better as a plate though. This versatile light stick can also serve as a handy source of illumination when only minimal light is required. Available in various colors, the size is 150 x 15 mm (6" x 0.6"). The package contains one light stick.

About

The primary purpose of light sticks is to generate completely safe light without any power source. The light is a result of a chemical reaction that produces only light and no heat. These disposable sticks require no batteries or external power. While the light may not be intensely bright, it is ideal for tasks like reading maps, rummaging through your backpack, or as a tent light. Light sticks are particularly useful for marking objects, locations, tent ropes, and such. Note that in military situations, light discipline should be taken into account, as these sticks glow quite brightly in the dark, especially when viewed through night vision devices.

By using tape, you can adjust the brightness of the stick and create various patterns if needed.

The stick is a 150 mm (6") long plastic tube that is 15 mm (0.6") thick, with a loop at one end for easy attachment. Activate the stick by bending it so that the internal ampoule breaks, then give it a shake. The outer casing of the stick is sturdy and not easily broken – at least not without proper tools, effort, and intent. The chemicals inside are non-toxic.

The light sticks are reported to last for 8 hours, with our estimation being that 6-8 hours is probably the actual usable time. The product is new and made in China.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0962/1952/9555/files/mfh_light_stick_15_x_15_cm-065bcf9548fad0.jpg?v=1782289861
