It's Kareline, a natural fibre composite: Eco-friendly cellulose fibres from certified Finnish forests reinforce the material with FDA approved polypropylene used as an adhesive.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe material has a nice amount of good features:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eCan take both boiling water (+100°C \/ 212 F) as well as -30°C \/ -22 F temperatures.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eCan be hand or machine washed.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eDoes not absorb smells or tastes: you can drink tea, coffee, water, and booze from it!\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eDyed with colors that are approved for food contact. There is no coating that would wear off during use.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe products can be recycled as plastic, burned for heat energy, or returned to the manufacturer for re-use.
