There are five columns for PALS webbing, but as far as rows go, it's a bit more complex because the grid of the panel is designed to accommodate \u003cb\u003ehorizontal attachment of pouches\u003c\/b\u003e as well – see the pictures! At least MOLLE pouches sized 3x3 or smaller fit horizontally.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe panel has plenty of 4.5 mm holes for weaving elastic cords and two openings in the middle of the edges for 25mm straps or hook and loop tape.
